Natural & Ethical Environmental Solutions is capable of providing all aspects of Cultural Resource services including all phases of Section 106 compliance as well as historic architecture studies, constraint analysis and other pro-active assessments designed to aid our clients through the process of compliance all in a timely and cost-effective manner. With over 17 years of hands-on regional experience, our principle investigator and staff archaeologists have extensive knowledge of cultural resource compliance regulations and have established a strong working relationship with personnel from many of the regional State and Federal Regulatory Agencies.

The National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA, 1966, as amended in 1992 [36 CFR Part 800]) provides guidance of all cultural resource studies throughout the United States for projects involving a Federal Agency or any project which receives federal funding. Section 106 of the NHP Act requires Federal Agencies to consider the effects of an undertaking on any cultural resources located within a proposed project area. In the Midwest region, many state and local agencies also require consideration of cultural resources before implementation of a project within their local limits or boundaries. Cultural resources include both above-ground (architectural, earth-works, burial mounds) and below-ground (archaeological) resources.
